VIDEOAKTION #6
5-7 December 2025
Slide Installation
“Not Just a Shot” by Laurence Favre
Slides installation, silent. Projection with twin dual projector.
A fixed colour image fades in and out, revealing a series of shapes and colours. The figure of a wolf appears. Through multiple generations of analogue copies, the normative, documentary-like imagery is hijacked by its spectres. At times, the pins connecting the animal’s skin to an artificial body become visible. At times, the wolf disappears to let speculative creatures emerge. Within the framework of the artistic research project Expanded Spectropoetics, these images focus on the figure of an animal whose execution by the authorities has increased continuously in recent years despite being a strictly protected species. The work Not just a shot interrogates the relationship between humans and non-humans, as well as the still-prevailing anthropocentric attitude.
The installation will be on display during the entire three-day Videoaktion event.
Venue: Raum für drastische Maßnahmen, Oderstr. 34, 10247 Berlin-Friedrichshain
